Privacy Notice
This notice describes the data used by the free MeritRush public beta. Final paid-launch provider and retention details remain a later launch gate.
Account data
The service stores your email address, display name, date of birth, territory, email-verification state, password hash, account/session records and a referral code.
Gameplay and security data
MeritRush stores attempts, generated challenge records, scores, server timing/security events, Daily Challenge standings, anti-cheat review state and related audit records so the skill engine can calculate and verify results.
Public Daily Challenge information
Your display name and Daily Challenge score may appear on the public daily leaderboard. If you create a result share link, the linked page may also show your display name, score, date, rank and percentage comparison.
Campaign and referral measurement
The beta records first-party campaign/referral parameters supplied in MeritRush links, such as source, medium, campaign and referral code, together with limited page/action events. The acquisition-event table does not intentionally store the visitor IP address. Referral relationships between registered accounts are recorded when a valid referral code is used at registration.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Sessions are revocable. Verification/reset tokens are single-use and stored as hashes. Production configuration requires HTTPS and secure session cookies.
Policy acceptance
For newly registered accounts, MeritRush records the version and timestamp of the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice accepted during registration.
Retention and service providers
Exact long-term retention periods, final hosting/email provider disclosures and any future payment-provider disclosures remain to be completed before paid competition launch.
